FREE LICENSE AND PRICING

phpWork is a free, open source, php web application framework published under a custom open source license. The full license agreement can be found at the bottom of the page. Basically it says: if individual or a company wants to create a free, open source web application or closed source application for a public school, educational organization or develop a personal blog on top of it, then the license doesn't require any fees. But if this individual or company wants to develop an application, which will lead to financial earnings or commercial profit, then an appropriate license is required. Also no one is allowed to create his own fork of the framework and publish it under different url or brand name.

The commercial packages have a plain, flat structure, because the mission is to provide simple and powerful tools for building web applications without putting a burden to the buyer, making him more and more dependent on interdependent products. By purchasing the basic package an individual or a company can build up to 2 different projects. Then, if they like the advanced components, they can buy a more expensive package or if they have a team and need much better support, then the 3rd package is available. There are no prices per CPU, per dev machine or per cluster node.

The purpose is to provide 100% working service. During the years it has become clear that pure open source is a great thing if someone has all the time in the world, because it resulted in too much choice, which started to take more and more time to make a conscious decision, so probably this tool will be valued more by those who respect more their free time. The framework has extremely short learning curve, good tutorials, complete documentation and 70+ demos with full source code.

This license applies to any software containing a notice
placed by the copyright holder saying that it may be used
under the terms of the phpWork License. Such software is
herein referred to as the Software.

This license covers usage, modification and distribution of the
Software, use of third-party application programs based on the
Software, and development of software which uses the Software.

You agree to and comply with any and all conditions in this license.

In no event shall the initial developers or copyright holders
be liable for any damages whatsoever, including - but not
restricted to - lost revenue or profits or other direct,

even if they have been advised of the possibility of such
damages, except to the extent invariable law, if any, provides

TERMINATION OF LICENSE

Any violation against this license or its intended meaning result
in the immediate termination of this license and all rights given to you.
